Every year Saturn spends around four and a half months in its retrograde period. This is our planet of time, responsibility, discipline, maturity. It represents the part of life that cannot be rushed and teaches us that lasting growth is built through consistency and a willingness to keep showing up, especially when things become uncomfortable.
This retrograde points us towards the places where we still have growing to do. It reveals the cracks in the foundations we have built by guiding us to reflect on whether the life we’re building is genuinely aligned with who we are becoming.
With Saturn moving through the sign of Aries these themes are heightened even more. Aries represents starting fresh and our willingness to trust ourselves enough to move towards something new.
This retrograde shines a light on the places where you’ve been waiting for permission. Waiting until you feel more confident. Waiting for someone else to validate the path you already know you want to take. Waiting for “the right time”. It’s important to be honest with yourself on whether you are protecting yourself by waiting or if you are simply keeping yourself where it’s familiar.
Saturn slows us down because there is wisdom in moving carefully. Sometimes what feels like a delay is life giving you the opportunity to create a stronger foundation before the next chapter begins.
This is the time to reflect on where your boundaries need strengthening and where you’ve been saying yes out of obligation instead of genuine willingness. Saturn wants your commitments to reflect your values, not your people pleasing.

If I removed fear from the equation, what would I finally be ready to change / commit to?
